چکیده
ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to observe the spatial distribution and dynamic changes matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2, MMP-9, collagen in stent restenosis (ISR) explore their influence on ISR.MethodsSixty Z type stents were implanted into common iliac arteries minipigs, which divided 10 groups (six each group) according euthanasia time (6 hours, 1, 3, 7, 14, 28, 56, 84, 168, 336 days). After samples harvested, haematoxylin eosin staining, immunohistochemical Western blotting, Picrosirius red staining performed for all groups.ResultsISR occurred six minipigs 56 day group (percentage diameter stenosis range 71.6%–79.2%, mean ± standard deviation 75.6% 2.5%). The percentage decreased 38.3% 2.7% at days (p < .001). Immunohistochemical showed that MMP-2 MMP-9 strongly stained near internal elastic lamina or damaged parts intima, around struts neointimal lumen surface ISR process. expression significantly lower compared with peaks (seven one [p .001; p = .002], respectively). At days, content reached its maximum (mean integrated optical density 0.73–0.92, 0.82 0.09). From 14 group, mature neointima correlated negatively (γ(36) −0.816; .001) −0.853; During regression period, new positively (γ(24) 0.683; 0.873; .001).ConclusionThis has demonstrated MMP-2, by simulating process from generation after implantation. When occurred, maximum, might contribute ISR. Sixty groups. This

Correlation between expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2 (MMP-2), and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) and angiogenesis in colorectal adenocarcinoma.
Matrix metalloproteinases-2 (MMP-2) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), which degrade extracellular matrix, are believed to play a crucial role in tumor invasion and metastasis. Angiogenesis is also perceived as an important step in tumor growth and metastasis. To investigate the expression of MMPs and the correlation between the expression of MMPs and angiogenesis in colorectal adenocarcin...
متن کاملThe Effect of Adiponectin on Matrix Metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells
Background & Aims: Atherosclerosis is a major cause of morbidity and mortality. Adiponectin reducesthe risk of heart disease, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) is involved in the formation and development of atherosclerotic plaque. The aim of this study was the investigation of the effect of adiponectin on MMP-9 gene expression. It seems this hormone can reduce the risk of atherosclerosis ...
متن کاملMatrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) Expression in Non-Small Cell Lung Carcinoma and Its Association with Clinicopathologic Factors
Background & Objective: Matrix metalloproteinases-9 (MMP-9) is one of the most important enzymes to breakdown extracellular matrix which plays a major role in tumor invasion and metastasis. This study aimed to determine tumor MMP-9 expression in non-small-cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) and whethe...
متن کاملEvaluation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 activity in serum and biochemical and hematological parameters in spontaneous canine cutaneous tumors before and after surgical treatment
Recently, matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), in particular the gelatinases MMP-2 and MMP-9, generally considered as tumor markers for clinical applications. A longitudinal 2-years follow-up survey was performed on dogs with cutaneous tumor. Serum samples were obtained from 22 dogs with different cutaneous tumors and 22 health dogs at the time of surgery and one month, three months and one year af...
متن کاملThe possible role of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-2 and MMP-9 in cancer, e.g. acute leukemia.
In the past decades, a lot of effort has been put in identifying the role of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) in cancer. The main role of MMPs in angiogenesis, tumor growth and metastasis is degradation of extracellular matrix (ECM) and release and/or activation of growth factors through their degradative activity. The degradative activity finally results in cancer progression. MMP-inhibitors (...
